PETER ABRAMSON, M.D.

Welcome! We are excited that we will have the opportunity to have a remote visit with you. Please take a moment to review the helpful hints below for a great Telehealth visit.

  1. Make sure that your mobile device (phone, iPad, tablet, laptop) or your desktop computers have a functional microphone and camera

  2. If possible, please use either Chrome or Mozilla Firefox for best results.

  3. Please make sure that the device is either connected by Wi-Fi or to the wall by ethernet.  The connection can be unstable if not.

  4. Take the telehealth visit in a quiet non-distracting place

  5. Sit down and set your mobile device on a stable surface so that you don’t have to hold it (your image can get very shaky on our end)

  6. Have a pen and piece of paper or notebook handy to jot down notes

  7. Although we do enjoy meeting your pets, if you could have them in another room or outside it makes the encounter run more smoothly

  8. You will be given a window of time to be available.  We are usually pretty prompt.

  9. The Doctor will send you an invite to either your email or text you or both.

  10. Just click the link and you will join the waiting room, please check your video image to make sure we can see you-not just the lamp in the corner.

  11. Hold on, the Doctor will join you momentarily.

  12. If you are in the waiting room longer than 5 minutes after your appointment without being contacted please exit the waiting room and try to reconnect.  If this doesn’t work, please call us-404-297-1782or 6108 or 4230

  13. After the visit you and the doctor will exit by pressing the red phone symbol

  14. Patients and Doctors have really loved the remote telehealth visits, but the system is far from perfect- forgive us if there are glitches
